I just wanted to say that I have been on Deviantart for a long time, and it is a great place, both to share my art with other people, and meet and have other people share their art with me. It is truly spectacular that people from many different backgrounds, and places, etc can come together to share their love for art.
Everything about Deviantart is awesome, sure - sometimes I want to change a few little things, but mostly the things that I like about it outgrow the things that I want to change, and no matter how close to perfect they get, there will always be things to change.
The same goes for artwork. You may be able to draw incredible things, but people will always find something wrong with them, and you will always be able to improve them! That's the best thing about drawing and art, you can never get bored with it because you can always improve, and grow, and become greater than even you could imagine. Rewind two years, or even rewind ten years or more for some - what was your art like then? Was it terribly out of proportion? was the colouring hideous? I'm certainly embarrassed keeping my old works and looking over them, but the greatest thing is that it shows how I have improved! I still have a long way to go, and I don't think anyone ever gets to utmost perfection, but its the journey - not the destination. And I want to talk to all those people that think their art isn't good enough, hang in there! We were all at that stage at one time or another. And something else - don't throw your old artwork away because not only will you be able to look through it and (*coughlaughcough*)see how you have improved, but you will be able to show it to all the other people who are at the same stage you used to be!
Remember: Practice might not make perfect, but it gets you closer to perfection.
Over and Out.
